Brainstorming for nominations

Nominations for fandoms will open May 24 and run until June 2!

You can use this post to promote your small fandoms (the more people who nominate/offer/request, the more likely you are to have fic to read or write!), and to organize nominations for fandoms with multiple continuities.

For a refresher, here's the deal on nominations:

  • You can nominate up to eight fandoms
  • We'll be using the top 100 or so fandoms for sign-ups
  • Sign-ups require a minimum of four fandoms that can be crossed with each other in each individual request (up to five allowed per sign-up).

We'll post detailed instructions for doing nominations on AO3 when the nominations period begins.

Re: Wodehouse - We are definitely taking this stuff case by case, and are going to do whatever we can to make it sure as many fandoms get in as possible. So if this ends up the case with Wodehouse, we will likely be doing it just as you said. We will, of course, check with the nominators to make sure we're doing it correctly though!

Re: Game of Thrones - Right now, we are planning to keep it separate as I know that the books are ahead of the TV series in the story, and that there are areas where the canons converge (as well as fans who are more interested in the books over the show, and vice versa). So I would encourage nominators to nominate A Song of Ice and Fire series if they want book canon, and Game of Thrones if they want TV canon. I don't see a reason for us to combine them, and hopefully we won't have to just to get them in because I 100% understand your concerns.
