Are you planning to keep the character field, then? I thought that was a bit unwieldy last year - since people couldn't select characters that weren't canonized, and ran out of space for all the characters they wanted if they had several characters in a fandom.

It didn't break anything, though, AFAICT.

Hey thanks for the feedback on the character field! We're discussing -- we know it's sometimes more of a burden on participants to have ODAO fields that aren't used for matching (which, given the size of the exchange, it isn't really possible to match on characters for Crossovering) but we want to be as accommodating as possible of how people want to write and receive works.

We'll have a decision before nominations start!
