Nomination Clarifications
Nominations are closed! You may notice that some fandoms have already been approved. These fandoms had the most nominations. This evening, we'll be working to approve the rest of this year's tag set.
Fortunately, most of the nominations were easy to understand and used canonical tags, so that will make the process easier.
However, we do have a few questions for you guys, if you could help us out. The fandoms in question: Thundercats, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, James Bond, Marvel comics, and Final Fantasy. EDIT: Added some questions for Spider-man.
The following four Thundercats fandoms each received only one nomination:
Thundercats
Thundercats - All Media Types
Thundercats (1985)
Thundercats (Cartoon)
Separately, they won't make the cut. However, if we count Thundercats, Thundercats (1985), and Thundercats (Cartoon) toward Thundercats - All Media Types, it would make it into the top 100. Would those who nominated the fandom (and/or who might request/offer it) prefer to combine them or not have them at all?
Likewise, the following four Transformers fandoms each received only one nomination:
Transformers - All Media Types
Transformers Animated (2007)
Transformers Generation One
Transformers: Shattered Glass
Together, they would make the cut. Separately, they wouldn't. It's your choice.
The following three Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tags each received only one nomination:
Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles
Ninja Turtles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987)
The first two are non-canonical tags. Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles is the UK title; we're guessing Ninja Turtles was a generic nomination. Unless there are objections, we can combine them into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - All Media Types. If we do, the fandom will make the cut. If not, there will be no crime-fighting turtles in this exchange.
The following three James Bond fandoms each received only one nomination:
Skyfall (2012)
James Bond (Craig Movies)
James Bond (Movies)
Combined into James Bond (Movies), this fandom would make the cut. But if no one wants James Bond crossovers without Daniel Craig's Bond, we don't have to. You tell us.
The following four Marvel fandoms each received only one nomination:
Marvel
Marvel 616
Marvel Noir
Marvel Ultimates
We can combine these four into Marvel or just Marvel (Comics), which would qualify the fandom for the exchange. Otherwise, Marvel-based crossovers will be largely MCU. Let us know which you prefer.
We're a little unsure what to do with all the Final Fantasy fandoms. Currently, we have the following non-approved fandoms:
Compilation of Final Fantasy VII — 2 nominations
Dissidia: Final Fantasy — 2 nominations
Final Fantasy X & Final Fantasy X-2 — 2 nominations
Final Fantasy XIII Series — 2 nominations
Final Fantasy IV — 1 nomination
Final Fantasy VI — 1 nominations
Although several of these have 2 nominations each, they're unlikely to make the cut. If there's any way to combine these into a canonical AO3 tag that will have 3+ nominations, let us know. Also, feel free to let us know if you'd rather keep them separate from each other and not have them in the exchange.
The following three Spider-man fandoms have only 2 nominations each and most likely wouldn't make the cut alone:
Spider-man - All Media Types
The Amazing Spider-man (Movies - Webb)
Ultimate Spider-man (Cartoon)
We can combine them into Spider-man - All Media Types and they'd survive the cut, if that's okay with everyone.

Did Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy get any noms? If yes that could be combined with Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

You could maybe through all the votes for Dissidia as it is a canonical crossover between all the Final Fantasy games.
This is a good point. We could count Dissidia as one more nomination for each of the others...or each of the others for as a nomination for Dissidia. Which would be better?

I'd be okay with throwing votes behind Dissidia, but I don't know how other fans would feel.
