Nominations: QUESTIONS!

 We have already approved a lot of fandoms, but are working on doing the rest and, as usual, we have a few questions and a few notices. So please take a look and if you see any of your fandoms mentioned, we'd appreciate your feedback. The quicker we hear from people, the quicker we can post the complete tagset for you!

James Bond movies
We received nominations for both James Bond (Movies), and James Bond (Craig movies). Both received enough nominations to be approved as is, but if the nominators would rather have them combined, we can do that as well.

Evil Dead
We received one nomination each for: Evil Dead - All Media Types, Evil Dead (Movies) and Ash vs. Evil Dead. Separately, they would not be approved, but if there are no objections, we will approve Evil Dead - All Media Types as one fandom.

X-Men movies
We received nominations for: X-Men (Original Timeline Movies), X-Men (Alternate Timeline Movies) and X-Men (Movieverse). We have decided we will approve the first two, but unless there are reasonable objections, we will reject the Movieverse nomination as it is redundant.

Battlestar Galactica
We have already approved a tag for the 2003 Battlestar Galactica series. But, we also have nominations for a generic Battlestar Galactica tag. Please let us know if you are nominating the 2003 series, or the original series, so we can approve it or just fold it into the already approved tag.

Dragon Age
We have a tag for Dragon Age - All Media Types currently approved, but also received nominations for Dragon Age - video games and Dragon Age: Inquisition. DAI would not make it in alone, so please let us know if you'd prefer the All Media Types tag (thus including extra materials outside the game) or if we should stick strictly to the generic "video games" tag. 

Final Fantasy
None of the individual Final Fantasy nominations received more than one nomination. If there are no objects to combining them, we will go ahead and approve a Final Fantasy - All Media Types tag.

Marvel Cinematic Universe
Just as in previous years, all nominations for individual movies in the MCU will be combined under the Marvel Cinematic Universe banner. (This does not count Sony or FOX released Marvel movies, only those in the MCU continuity.)

Star Wars
All Star Wars nominations will be put under the Star Wars - All Media Types nominations due to not enough nominations for them to pass individually. 

Percy Jackson
The book series and the All Media Types tag received 1 nomination each, thus not qualifying them. If there are no objections, we can combine them into one tag (All Media Types) and approve it that way.

The Star Wars animated series (like Rebels) have a lot of extra non-cinematic canon that movie fans might not fall comfortable offering. So if you nominated the movies and don't know Rebels, say so. I'm perfectly fine with it not making the cut.

Yeah, I nommed Star Wars: TFA, but while I would be okay with all the Star Wars movies being lumped together, I don't know enough about all the other things to be comfortable offering all media types. But other people might be, so I can just not offer/request it. Not a biggie!

We can always approve Star Wars movies as a tag. I'll have to check the other non-movie noms and if there are enough we might be able to get a separate tag for the animated series as its own separate entity. I'll look as I go through them again later!

If movies could be their own tag, I'd super love that! I'd hate to offer the all media and then get someone who wanted something that wasn't the movies. So that would be awesome if they were separate!

Yeah, I definitely feel like it's not a two-way street. I'd assume most animated series fans know TFA but definitely not vice versa.

I was one that also nominated James Bond (Craig Movies), I don't have a problem combining them, as long as we are free to specified in our letters or sign-ups which we preferred. Otherwise it will be a bit hard to write or draw for a film you haven't seen before :)

I nominated James Bond (Craig Movies) as well, and will prefer the two nominations to stay separate since I don't really know the previous Bond movies well and won't be able to request/offer the James Bond (movies) tag. But in any case, it's not a big deal and I'll go along with the mods' decision.

I nominated James Bond (Movies), but would prefer the Craig movies. I wasn't sure if they would be accepted separately, hence nominating the full series.

What specific Final Fantasy entries were nominated? At the least if Final Fantasy were to be combined I'd prefer if it was limited to the main video game series and content related to them and not every single thing that has ever had the Final Fantasy name.

It was Final Fantasy XIII and Compilation of Final Fantasy VII.

We are absolutely up for ideas on if and how we could add it to the tag set in a way that will work for you guys. None of us mods are familiar enough with the series to make those decisions, so we'll trust what you and any other fans have to say.

There was also Final Fantasy X & Final Fantasy X-2 nominated. That was one of mine.

The problem is that each numbered Final Fantasy is basically its own universe and in some cases its own franchise. They do crossover and meet in Dissidia and a few other crossover games. Many fans know more than one entry but there is no consistent general assumption you could make about who knows what. I'm personally okay with some form of combining the Final Fantasy noms as long as it is clear which entries are included in it.

Thank you for the clarifications and additions. Since we only get a random selection of nominations whenever we refresh, I knew I had to be missing other FF nominations.

We can certainly approve it under an umbrella tag, and then clarify when we open up the tagset and in sign-ups what was actually nominated so anyone going to offer it will at least know what they're getting themselves in to should they match on that fandom.

Mine was probably the Xmen Movieverse nomination, and I'm happy for you to reject that in favour of the alternate timeline and original timeline options. I have been writing Xmen since X1, so ... I am a bit fuzzy on all these newfangled things :P (And I'm happy to write in either or both timelines.)(When I figure out which is which :D)
