Not a dumb question at all! Unfortunately, we don't make the tagset visible until after nominations are over and all eligible fandoms are approved. Because of the constraints of this particular exchange (people have to match on at least two fandoms) and in order to make matching go more smoothly, we like to keep the tagset smaller and making nominations visible may encourage people to spread their nomination slots among many more fandoms, making that difficult. (Hopefully that explains it well. If not, I apologize, but it's late!)

The best we can do is ask people to converse here and in the Brainstorming post in hopes of coordinating nominations. As mentioned previously, last year, all fandoms that had 2 or more nominations made the cut, and if things go the similarly this year, that may be all it takes to ensure a fandom gets it.
